Every 2 seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood, and here on the Delmarva Peninsula, the Blood Bank of Delmarva has recently declared a blood emergency, with their supply falling below a critical 2-day inventory. That's far from the ideal 7-day supply needed to meet hospital and patient needs.
One single blood donation has the power to save up to THREE lives! Whether it's for accident victims, patients undergoing surgery, those battling cancer, or individuals with chronic illnesses, blood transfusions are a lifeline that cannot be manufactured.
