Huge thanks to the incredible 26 individuals who rolled up their sleeves at our July 23 blood drive, in partnership with the Blood Bank of Delmarva! Your generosity is truly making a difference right here in our community.

But the need for blood is constant and urgent! Every 2 seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood, and here on the Delmarva Peninsula, the Blood Bank of Delmarva has recently declared a blood emergency, with their supply falling below a critical 2-day inventory. That's far from the ideal 7-day supply needed to meet hospital and patient needs.

One single blood donation has the power to save up to THREE lives! Whether it's for accident victims, patients undergoing surgery, those battling cancer, or individuals with chronic illnesses, blood transfusions are a lifeline that cannot be manufactured.

We encourage everyone who is able to consider donating. Your selfless act can provide hope and healing to those who desperately need it.

"Unite for Good" in Action: Camden-Wyoming Rotarians Bring Calgary Inspiration Home

At their July 16th meeting, Camden-Wyoming Rotary Club members Debbie and Dan Taylor, Anne Mathisen, Dr. Ron Kahn, and Dr. Yasmith “Jazzy” Johnson shared a captivating presentation about their time at the 2025 Rotary International Convention in Calgary, Canada. With enthusiasm, they recounted the array of inspiring keynote speeches and diverse breakout sessions they attended, along with the various networking opportunities that allowed them to connect with Rotarians worldwide. Centered around the theme "Unite for Good," their presentation was rich with photos and anecdotes from the convention, highlighting innovative service projects and partnerships. The stories sparked considerable excitement among our members, and the team is eager to integrate these fresh ideas into our community service initiatives and global cooperation efforts here in Camden-Wyoming.

Leadership Transition Unfolds at Camden-Wyoming Rotary Satellite

On Thursday, July 10, our Camden-Wyoming satellite at Nobles Pond joyfully celebrated a significant leadership transition. The ceremony was presided over by our club president, Anne Mathisen. We witnessed the symbolic passing of the gavel from the immediate past chair, Vito Muti, to our new chair, Darlene Carnochan. We extend our warmest wishes to Darlene for a wonderful and productive Rotary Year 2025-2026.

Camden-Wyoming Rotary's Own "Kris & Holly" Inflate Fun with Balloon Art Demonstration

Members of our Camden-Wyoming Rotary Club Michael and Renate Sheinbaum, who are popularly known as Kris and Holly, recently showcased their balloon art skills to fellow Rotary members. They demonstrated how to create various animals and items from balloons, much to the amusement of everyone present. The event was filled with laughter as members donned colorful headgear and tried their hands at making dogs, bears, and swords.
