Sometimes a change of scenery can be so nice.  That's what we experienced at our Annual Club Picnic last Wednesday, September 24th.  Club members, family guests, prospective club members, and honorary visitors gathered at Wyoming park -- instead of our usual meeting place at the Wild Quail Country Club.  Sure, it was overcast, windy, and slightly rainy, but the food and company were as good as it gets.  From burgers and hot dogs to Jose's chili to a vast array of other foods and desserts, everyone got their fill!

Before the meal, we began the picnic with a special presentation.  We've worked hard all year developing our Flag Display Program.  The annual picnic was a fantastic forum for presenting the profits to the Dover Hope Medical Clinic and The Rotary Foundation, PolioPlus.  Our Flag Display Program was so successful that we were able to present $1,000 to each humanitarian service organization.  Ms. Vicenta Marquez, Director of Medical Services, and Mr. Venerando Maximo accepted the check for Dover Hope Medical Clinic.  Col John Kotzun, Rotary District 7630 Assistant Governor (Area 30), accepted the check for PolioPlus.

SPECIAL THANKS TO:  Debbie Taylor for organizing our picnic!
