Members of our Flag Display Committee were invited by Col Mitch Berger to setup a table at the Caesar Rodney High School Air Force Junior ROTC 5K Run/Walk event on October 4, 2014. Eager to reach our subscription goal for 2015, Rotary club members Jim Grilli, John Kirby, and Troy Cooper arrived bright and early to meet with CRHS students, parents, teachers, and other community members to discuss Rotary and our Flag Display Program.
The rain came and went (multiple times), but that didn't stop us from having a good time! Some of the fastest runners crossed the finish line around the 19 minute mark. Crowds of supporters cheered the runners as they approached the final stretch.
We greatly appreciate this invitation!
At the Caesar Rodney High School Rider Pride Day event, club members met with parents, teachers, students, and community members to promote Rotary and the CW Rotary Club's premier Flag Display Program.
SPECIAL THANKS TO: Debbie Taylor for organizing our picnic! The annual picnic was a fantastic forum for presenting profits (from our Flag Display Program) to the Dover Hope Medical Clinic and The Rotary Foundation, PolioPlus.
